Frequently asked questions

Do I have to provide payment details to start a free trial?

No – you can start a free trial without providing payment details. There is no risk of paying for a subscription that you do not want. At the end of the trial you can just walk away and the system will be deleted thereafter.

I wish to sign up to a paid subscription, how do I do that?

Please do contact us at anytime during your trial to sign up to a paid account. One of our team will be happy to explain the different plans, arrange payment and provide the inclusive onboarding help which ranges from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Once signed in click on the ‘config’ menu then ‘system options’ for more info.

What is a user?

Normal users in Glide have full access to all information. It is designed for the practitioners or partners/managers in firms that are responsible for ensuring proactive client service and the timely completion of work.

Users can see information on an ‘entire office’ or ‘portfolio’ basis to ensure they have full visibility of the big picture.

What is a basic user?

A basic user is a user on the system that simply needs to record workflow updates. They benefit from a dashboard that focuses on their personal workload.

Are there any set up fees?

There is no mandatory set up fee with Glide. Some Glide users are happy to use our workflow templates and can get started straight away without our input. Often Glide users wish to take advantage of the highly configurable nature of the system, you can do this yourself but often this will involve working with a Glide team member to configure your system, in which event a set up fee will be payable.

Can I upgrade my plan?

You can upgrade your plan at any time. Contact Glide at anytime and we'll upgrade the account.

On a monthly paid plan the price change will take effect from the next billing cycle. On an annual plan we’ll issue a separate invoice for the period from the upgrade date to your next annual billing date.

Can I downgrade my plan?

You can downgrade your plan at any time. Contact Glide and we’ll change the plan. The price change will take effect from the next billing cycle which will either be the next month or year depending on whether the existing plan is on a monthly or weekly billing cycle.

Who uses Glide? Is Glide a good fit for my business?

Glide is designed for and used by Accountants in Practice. Glide is highly configurable and caters for all sizes of business. Our users include those starting out in practice and working alone, sole practitioners managing small teams through to the largest firms in the country.

Our start up plan will load with templates suited to a start up. Team and pro plans load with templates suited to a team environment.

Can I import my clients easily from another product or spreadsheet?

Yes you can import client data very quickly using our Excel import tool. Once logged in just click on ‘Config’ and then ‘Import clients’ you see a PDF guide to help with the process.

If your data is in a practice management system that you will continue to use, look at our connectors too.

Can I integrate Glide with my CCH / Digita system?

Glide has developed a growing range of connectors to provide real time integration between Glide and the most popular practice and taxation systems.

Can I export my data?

Yes you can export your data in full at any time to our excel template. Once logged in just click on 'Config', 'System options' and you’ll see the import tab.

Is my data safe? Where is my data?

Glide is hosted by Memset whose servers are based in Reading (UK). Memset are a highly secure provider and you can read about their ISO27001, Government accredited security here http://www.memset.com/about-us/security
